Want to learn more about our feathered friends, but not sure where to start? Or are you already a birder and want a deeper dive? Join Aaron and Angie Jungbluth for this interactive program as we explore and practice a few Nature Journaling techniques that will enhance your observations, understanding, and appreciation of birds. Nature Journaling is a fun, easy, and exciting way to record your discoveries and questions, become a better birder, and keep track of your birding experiences over the years savoring them for a lifetime! No artistic skills are necessary for this program. Bring your sense of wonder, and let’s have some fun!

Aaron and Angie Jungbluth are passionate about the Creator’s Creation – even meeting each other on a hike! With long time careers in engineering for Aaron and science, nature, and art education for Angie, nature brings them both incredible joy. They love to hike it, bike it, camp it, paddle it, and teach it. Also, Angie loves to draw it, paint it, and journal it, while Aaron loves to photograph it. Not long after meeting on that fateful hike, they became volunteer Conservation Naturalists for the Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) for almost 20 years now. Eight years ago, Angie became the Resident Artist at Echo Bluff and Current River State Parks and now both of them have been volunteering by teaching a variety of programs for the Missouri State Parks. By becoming Certified Interpretive Guides (CIG) through the National Association of Interpretation (NAI), they tie their knowledge of the outdoors with proven techniques that connect others to nature at a deeper and richer level. They have provided interactive and engaging presentations, especially on birding and nature journaling, to the general public and to a wide variety of organizations around the state.
