DESCRIPTION:Missouri River Relief’s Big Muddy Speaker Series\, hosted by Greenway Network\n7 p.m. Presentation (6 p.m. Social Hour) at Bike Stop Cafe\, 701 S Riverside Drive\, St. Charles\, MO 63301 \n“Life on the Mississippi before 1492: from Clovis to Cahokia to Contact” by Julie Zimmerman\, PhD\, Southern Illinois University Edwardsville \nDr. Julie Zimmerman will present an overview of life on the Mississippi before 1492: from Clovis to Cahokia to Contact. Dr. Zimmerman will provide a long term ecological view of the region in addition to outlining the anthropological highlights of the time. Dr. Zimmerman will share her knowledge and experience gained throughout her career as an archaeologist. Dr. Zimmermann is an archaeologist\, professor\, and chair of the Department of Anthropology at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. DESCRIPTION:If you missed one of the April 5th Mission: Clean Stream events throughout the county\, or just want to help even more\, you have another chance to volunteer with the City of St. Charles’ cleanup on Saturday\, April 12. Volunteers\, ages 6 and up\, can register as a family\, individual\, or organization. Gloves\, waste collection bags\, safety vests\, and picker tools will be provided. Dress appropriately for the weather. Long pants\, long sleeves\, and boots are recommended. Volunteers will need to provide their own transportation to sites.
