SUMMARY:Special Handling Short Course: Tornado Trash
DESCRIPTION:The work of cleaning up the bits and pieces of debris that cannot be scooped up by heavy machinery has to wait until the most urgent tasks of safely clearing streets\, securing buildings\, and meeting the physical and emotional needs of the citizens have been addressed. It is a huge task and it is going to take a while. \nIn preparation for those clean ups\, the Team Leader Academy crew has been updating our list of materials that require special handling to include the sorts of things that we are likely to find in greater quantities than usual. \nIf you are planning a litter clean up\, want to lead volunteers on a litter clean up\, or just want to volunteer yourself\, attend one of our one-hour sessions to help prepare you for this work. We will cover what to look for\, how to handle it\, and who and when to call when it is more than you can handle.
