DESCRIPTION:Missouri River Relief’s Big Muddy Speaker Series\, hosted by Greenway Network\n7 p.m. Presentation (6 p.m. Social Hour) at Bike Stop Cafe\, 701 S Riverside Drive\, St. Charles\, MO 63301 \n“Life on the Mississippi before 1492: from Clovis to Cahokia to Contact” by Julie Zimmerman\, PhD\, Southern Illinois University Edwardsville \nDr. Julie Zimmerman will present an overview of life on the Mississippi before 1492: from Clovis to Cahokia to Contact. Dr. Zimmerman will provide a long term ecological view of the region in addition to outlining the anthropological highlights of the time. Dr. Zimmerman will share her knowledge and experience gained throughout her career as an archaeologist. Dr. Zimmermann is an archaeologist\, professor\, and chair of the Department of Anthropology at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.
